So two wonderful, amazing things happened today (and it's only 11am!)…
1st my sister had an appointment with her surgeon and all is well…..
My sister will be having her gastric bypass surgery on April 28th.
I am so happy!!!!!
My sister has been on this journey, trying to get this surgery for THREE years and finally…it's going to happen.
And there was concern that the surgery might get put off AGAIN because of the leg infection my sister got.
But everything looks good so they gave her the okay for the surgery!
I so wish I could be there, I will be honest and say I am nervous as this is a major surgery, so I really wish I could be there with her. And to help her during her recovery. But all in all, I am just so glad this is happening for her!
2nd of all, one my best and most dearest friends, J.…who has struggled to STAY pregnant, is pregnant and just shy of being done with the first trimester, so her and her husband are FINALLY telling people. In a funny twist of fate, her due date is my sister's birthday! It just seems ironic….both of them had big appointments today that I was anxious about…<shrugging> I don't know…I'm probably just being dumb here…LOL Anyway, I am so, so beyond elated for her. It is seriously indescribable how happy I am for her. Her struggle has been a difficult and frustrating one and that makes this pregnancy just that much more joyous! And I FINALLY GET TO TALK ABOUT IT!!! lol.
Her pregnancy has been on my mind so much during her first trimester and there have been times I have wanted to blog about it and couldn't…..sometimes it's just been a passing thought, sometimes it's been days that it has consumed my mind (mostly days she has doctor's appointments…lol.) and it's SO nice that I can talk about it now, if the mood strikes. 🙂 It sure is hard keeping a secret you are SO excited about! You just want to shout it from the mountaintops….my blog isn't quite a mountaintop, but it works for me!!
